Paul leaves Titus in Crete and appoints him to ordain elders in every city. In Titus chapter 1:5-9 it tells us what qualities the leaders of God’s “household” must have.
Whether you are a Missionary, Evangelist, Bishop, Pastor, Preacher, Teacher or a Saint all MEN should be compelled to live by the following virtues as stated in Titus: · Be blameless
· The husband of one wife
· Have faithful children not accused of being wild or disobedient
· Not overbearing or self-willed
· Not quick tempered
· Not given to drunkenness
· Not Violent
· Not pursuing dishonest gain
· Must be hospitable
· One who loves what is good
· Who is self-controlled
· Upright
· Holy and disciplined
· Hold steadfastly to the truth as it has been taught
· Encourage others by sound doctrine and refute others that oppose it
In Titus chapter 2:1-2, 6-9 it tells us what young men need to learn and older men need to teach.
· Older men need to be temperate
· Worthy of respect
· Self-controlled
· Sound in faith, in love, and in endurance
· Encourage the young men to be self-controlled
· Be an example by doing what is good.
· While teaching them show integrity, seriousness, and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned
