The purpose of this lesson is to show that God provides His people with all the spiritual power and blessings necessary to serve Him successfully and receive eternal life. When approached with an honest and open heart, God gives believers the specific power to know and believe the truth, to become children of God through obedience, to resist every temptation, to endure suffering or hardship, and to serve others. Ultimately, living successfully requires putting on the armor of God, exercising self-control, and relying entirely on His divine strength rather than human power to win the victory.
