When we gather on Pentecost Sunday, we celebrate the very birth of the Church. It is a time filled with high anticipation and expectation for what God wants to do.
We must realize that the Church is not stagnant, parked, or sitting in neutral. The same move of the Spirit that started in the book of Acts is continuing right now. God is getting ready to break the limits off our expectations, and He is asking a vital question: Are you ready for the overflow?
1. Expect Exceeding and Abundant Blessings
Our foundational promise for this season comes from the book of Joel:
“Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil.” — Joel 2:23–24
We serve a God who is able to do “exceedingly and abundantly above all we can ever ask or think”. When we try to put a cap on what He can do, God promises to burst the lid off our plans and pour out an unstoppable move of His Spirit.
2. Poured Out for a Purpose
God’s spiritual abundance is not meant to stay bottled up inside the walls of a building. The scripture promises that in the last days, God will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh.
“He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” — John 7:38
The only qualification you need to receive this baptism of the Holy Ghost is to be breathing. God fills us with His Spirit so that an authentic transformation on the inside manifests as an outward expression to a world that desperately needs Him. He is actively adding to the church daily those who should be saved.
3. Getting Out of Cruise Control
To step into the supernatural overflow, we have to get uncomfortable and take ourselves out of “cruise control”. The early Apostles experienced true spiritual overflow because they were willing to go places and do things nobody else would do—like dancing and shouting praises while chained inside a rat-infested prison cell.
They were completely unconcerned with their external conditions because they were anchored by the word of God. True Kingdom allegiance means offering up a sacrifice of praise regardless of your circumstances—whether things are going great or you are facing heavy trials.
4. Stand Firm on the Truth
If we want to see an explosion of revival in our families, we cannot afford to sit idly on the sidelines. Our spiritual forefathers sacrificed and died for this gospel , and this upcoming generation must never forget that foundation.
No matter how dark or cold society becomes, do not stray from the truth. When we take our hands off our situations and fully let the Holy Ghost have His way, chains break, minds are mended, and the supernatural overflow takes place.
Receive Your Overflow Today
God is no respecter of persons. He does not care what baggage, past failures, or burdens you brought through the doors today—He simply asks you to bring them to Him in exchange for a garment of praise.
The time for expansion and spiritual breakthrough is right now. If you are ready to stop going through the motions, step out in faith, take hold of the promise of the Holy Ghost, and watch God overflow your life.
